This study aimed to explore the vital role that smart banking technology plays in enhancing the performance of banking institutions and elevating them to leading levels. The study highlights the importance of smart banking technology as a fundamental factor in boosting competitiveness and increasing the efficiency of banking institutions. It illustrates how technology can improve customer experience, enhance security, and provide advanced banking services. The study was based on a comprehensive review and analysis of the scientific literature related to smart banking technology and its impact on banking institutions. Data was collected from the opinions of a sample of employees in modern private banks in the governorates of Baghdad, Karbala, and Najaf (Bank of Baghdad, International Development Bank, Al-Mansour Bank, and National Bank of Iraq). A total of 233 valid responses for statistical analysis were obtained from the distributed study questionnaire. The findings indicate that smart banking technology enhances customer experience and satisfaction by providing fast and innovative services. Advanced technologies play a significant role in improving operational efficiency and increasing banking security.
