The Fixed and the Dynamic in Composition

If the concept of composition is the arrangement of visual elements within space or void to achieve the best arrangement, or in other words, to reach the peak of expression to convey meaning or message, then this arrangement, when at its peak, will lose its quality if any element is moved from its intended place. What if the movement affects many of its elements or changes its perspective or the like? In this sense, movement forms a negative opposition to every compositional peak that the artist reaches in his work. This dilemma is one of the biggest problems faced by those engaged in kinetic arts such as cinema, theater, and dance. How does the artist combine these two opposites (composition and movement) in their works to present integrated works? This research attempted to start from the concept that composition and movement, considered as separate concepts within the philosophical framing of their meanings, and arrive at the concept that composition and movement are elements integrated, each serving the other within the bounds of application and practice despite their contradiction in meaning.
